Natalie and her mom planned the perfect spot for her senior portraits.  It’s a quiet place close to her house where she likes to go hiking.  It was just gorgeous there that afternoon. It was a place that perfectly complimented Natalie’s personality and style.  She’s an amazing girl who already has some of her college general ed done even before graduating from high school.  She’s  heading off to BYU in the fall to study Engineering. Be sure to notice her necklaces, some of which she designed and made herself.

Oh how I love doing senior portraits.  I graduated from Moorpark High School way back in the day when a senior portrait meant going to the local studio where we all got head shots wearing the same black drape everyone else did. This makes for a very uniform yearbook layout, but it doesn’t make a memorable portrait that allows for how different and unique each student is.

This year I am offering 2 types of Senior portrait sessions.  The first is the Solo Session.  This is a session we plan all around you, and what makes you unique. We will talk and plan a session that totally fits your personality, your special talents and interests.

The second type is the Friends for Life Session. Do you have a bff, or a group of friends that you can’t live without? Why not do a session with them for your senior portraits?  These sessions are also customized to what you like to do together. How fun would it be to have a special custom photo session with you and your friends? Oh how  I wish I had done this when I was a senior.  It is about 5000% more meaningful than a head shot with a black drape.

I am so excited to start these sessions I am going to offer a special for the month of February.  I will be giving away a select number of FREE sesssions, either the solo session, or the friends for life session.  Everyone else who books in February will get 50% off their session fee. I will also be adding some special free products like cell phone skins with your photos on them, and autograph books to help you remember your senior year.

I love doing senior portraits. It’s such an amazing time in your life when you’re jumping into adult life, and everything is ahead of you.

She’s got her hands full with these 3 boys.  Not only are they stunningly handsome, but they have a great sense of humor, and are polite and fun.  I’m pretty sure all the girls will be hounding them if they aren’t already. We enjoyed a gorgeous afternoon at the Paramount Ranch on Halloween.

He said he didn’t purposely match his shirt to his eyes, but I have my doubts.  Those eyes are drop dead gorgeous.  Why wouldn’t you show them off?

With 3 boys you have to have a little fun.

Two of my cousins came to town from Missouri on vacation.  Heather is getting ready to go into her senior year in high school.  She wanted some unique to Missouri senior portraits so we headed out to the Ventura Pier for some beach shots.  She brought her big sister Emily to help, and also be in a few.  I have to admit being around those two made me feel really old.  It seems like just yesterday I was that young, but my life has changed so much since those days.  It was so nice to get to know Emily and Heather a little better.  I know they are family, and I’m a little biased, but I think they are some of the most adorable girls I’ve ever met, both inside and out.

Heather has the best laugh.  I saw it a lot that night.

I just love to see family love like this.  It reminds me of my cute little sisters, and all the fun we have together.

This sweet little family came all the way from Atlanta, Georgia here for a summer vacation. Oh the sites they saw here in California. They went to Hollywood Blvd and Venice Beach on their first couple of days of vacation. Who would have known that on this small beach where we took these photos they would see some other interesting, and not so common sites. I had a blast with you guys. Thank you! I hope you’re safe and sound back at home now.

They hadn’t had family photos done since the kids were tiny. It was my pleasure to meet them, and get them those family photos! Time goes by too fast, and your family changes just as fast.

Celia is only a few weeks away from graduating from California State University Fullerton.  She’s having not one, but two graduation parties, and she wanted some invitation pictures, as well as some fun pictures.  It was so hard to choose which ones to show on the blog because she looks amazing in all of them.  She’s a natural in front of the camera.  I just love her confidence and enthusiasm.  Congratulations Celia!

Ah, and in my favorite lighting ever she looks gorgeous!
